Q1: What different types of scholarships are there?
There are two types of International Student Scholarship: stipend and the tuition reduction.For further information, please refer to the following website: https://www.oia.ncnu.edu.tw/foreign-student/degree-student/degree-student-scholarship/
Q2: Does individual college or department offer additional scholarship?
In addition to International Student Scholarship (refer to Q1), departments may offer additional scholarships based on the student’s eligibility. Please note that not all programs offer additional scholarships.
Q3. Is Chinese/English language proficiency required for all programs?
Most of master and PhD programs offer courses instructed in English.
The language proficiency requirements depend on each program, please refer to NCNU Foreign Student Admission Brochure.
Q4. How do I apply for the scholarships?
Applications including scholarship must be submitted through the website.
Q5. May I use a letter of recommendation in my own lecturer format?
A recommendation letter could be written in your own format. Please specify the referee and the information of candidate.
Q6. Is there a word limit for a study plan or an autobiography?
It is suggested that an autobiographical statement and a study plan shall be written in about 500-1,000 words each in Chinese or English.
Q7. What documents do I need to prepare to register for a Master’s program of NCNU?
The required application documents:
(1) The application form
(2) One copy of the applicant’s passport
(3) One copy of the highest-level diploma
(4) One copy of the transcript of the highest degree earned
(5) Letters of recommendation
(6) An autobiography
(7) One study plan
(8) One copy of a financial statement
(9) Other documents as required by individual departments
Q8. Can I apply for multiple departments?
Each applicant can apply to up to three different programs. No application fee is needed.
Q9. Will the university provide Chinese lessons?
